Robin Thicke Tryin To Woo Back Paula Patton After a Split

Robin Thicke isn't quite ready to give up on Paula Patton, if his recent actions are any indication.
The singer, whose separation from his actress wife became public with a joint announcement Monday, expressed his intentions to the crowd at his Thursday concert in Fairfax, Va

"For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated, but I'm trying to get my girl back," he said on stage. "She's a good woman."

Previously, caught on video at Washington, D.C.'s Dulles International Airport, he told a TMZ cameraman that he was "just trying to get her back, man."

All that's in line with reports that it was Patton, not Thicke, who drew the line when it came to initiating their split. There are rumors alleging the split was a long time coming, and some saying it came out of the blue. Also being debated: whether Thicke's MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus or a photo showing him grabbing a fan's tush while posing for a picture had anything to do with the breakup.

In addition to the public statements, the singer might have taken his case directly to the home front as well. An unknown someone bombarded Patton's Hollywood Hills home with bouquet after lavish bouquet on Thursday, TMZ reported Friday. The bouquets appeared to be made up primarily of white blossoms, which according to various flower retailers signify innocence, undying love and new beginnings, among other things.

The couple, who first met when they were in their teens, got married in 2005 and have a 3-year-old son, Julian.

The boy was allegedly involved in a minor car crash Thursday along with Patton's mother and her assistant, who were traveling on Sunset Boulevard in a Range Rover that was being pursued by paparazzi, "Entertainment Tonight" reported. No injuries were reported.

I Don't Believe God Made Man and Woman Equal In any Way - Omotola Says

Movie star, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and her husband, Captain Mathew, have shared the secret of their 18 year old successful marriage.

Giving reference to God,  the celebrity couple in a recent interview with Punch Newspaper disclosed thus:

“It has to be God. There is no other strategy. One person can be perfect and the second person can be nasty. On our part, I’d say also that we don’t look at the relationship as something we can walk away from. We look at it as a life commitment. When your parents upset you, you cannot divorce them. Even the bible says you will leave your father and your mother and cleave to your spouse. Luckily, he doesn’t drink or smoke or abuse me. I don’t have any major thing to complain about, and I hope it is the same thing for him.”

World Bank President Delays $90 Million Ugandan Loan Over Anti-Gay Law

As I was watching "Prime Time" News on Galaxy Television I saw this and decided to browse it out and share with you.......

World Bank President Jim Yong Kim delays a $90 million loan to Uganda because of the East African nation’s crackdown on homosexuality and criticized countries for legalizing discrimination against minority groups.

The loan to strengthen health-care systems in Uganda was postponed after President Yoweri Museveni signed a bill on Feb. 24, 2014 imposing harsher penalties against homosexuals. Ugandan government spokesman Ofwono Opondo said the suspension amounted to “blackmail” by the Washington-based bank and the country would find another lender, according to posts on his Twitter account.

“As always, Uganda government will live within national resource means by prioritizing sectors and possible re-allocation,” Opondo wrote.

The law has caused a backlash against Uganda, a $20 billion economy that exports more coffee than any other African nation. Denmark and Norway have pulled or redirected aid while Sweden said it’s reconsidering its program. Virgin Group Ltd.’s Richard Branson called for a business boycott in an interview with CNN.

Standard & Poor’s cut Uganda’s credit rating one level last month to B, five below investment grade, on concern its budget deficit is swelling and after donors including the World Bank and U.K. suspended support in 2012 because of corruption.

The Ugandan shilling weakened for a fifth day today, the longest losing streak since February 2013.

The currency traded 0.7 percent lower at 2,537 per dollar by 1:15 p.m. in the capital, Kampala, heading for its biggest monthly decline since November 2012.

Genetic Link

“Institutionalized discrimination is bad for people and for societies,” Kim said in an op-ed article in the Washington Post. “Widespread discrimination is also bad for economies. There is clear evidence that when societies enact laws that prevent productive people from fully participating in the workforce, economies suffer.”

Uganda’s law was enacted after Museveni said scientists in the country found no genetic link to being gay. In Nigeria, where gay sex has been illegal since before independence from the U.K. in 1960, President Goodluck Jonathan last month signed a law that imposes a 14-year jail sentence for same-sex couples.

Kim said more than 80 countries have passed laws that make homosexuality illegal.

“Eliminating discrimination is not only the right thing to do, it’s also critical to ensure that we have sustained, balanced and inclusive economic growth in all societies -- whether in developed or developing nations, the North or the South, America or Africa,” Kim wrote.

Kidnappers Demand N500 Million Ransom to Free President Jonathan's Uncle, Nitabai

This post is written according to Premium Times.......

The abductors of Inengite Nitabai, the 70-year-old relative of President Goodluck Jonathan, have demanded a N500 million ransom.

A security source said that the abductors threatened to kill their victim if the family failed to produce the money.

The source also said the family had constituted a committee to evaluate the demand, establish negotiations with the abductors, and facilitate his release.

He said the kidnappers warned against the involvement of security operatives in the matter.

"The kidnappers contacted the family four days after and demanded a whooping sum of N500 million. It is believed that the family of the victim has begun negotiations with the hoodlums", he said.

Tension had heightened in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, after the kidnappers failed to establish contact with the family of their victim three days after the abduction.

Mr. Nitabai was kidnapped on Sunday evening in Otuoke, President Jonathan's hometown. He was reportedly abducted by 10 heavily armed gunmen when he was returning from an outing in his car at about 9:30 p.m.

A security source had told PREMIUM TIMES a day after the kidnap that the victim's vehicle was later recovered at Onuegbum community waterfront where it was abandoned; an indication that the gunmen might have escaped with their victim through the creek.

The kidnap is said to have rattled the Presidency, which ordered massive deployment of security officials to Otuoke and the Niger Delta creeks.

The Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, Alex Akhigbe, had on Monday confirmed the kidnap.

Mr. Akhigbe said one person had been arrested in connection with the abduction while the victim's vehicle used in whisking him away had also been recovered.

"Investigation is in progress to unmask the kidnappers and rescue the victim," Mr. Akhigbe had said.

When contacted on Friday, the police spokesperson said he was not aware of any ransom demand. He said the kidnappers had only made one call to the victim's family and since then, the telephone number with which they used to call had not been going through.

He also said the police had stepped up security in the area and in the creeks of Bayelsa.
"We are still strategizing with a view to finding out where they are hiding so that the victim can be rescued," Mr. Akhigbe said.

Kidnapping has been on the rise in Bayelsa despite the enactment of a law that punishes the crime with the death penalty.
