Nollywood
finest actresses are already queuing up for the last film of Chief
Eddie Ugbomah, veteran film maker and Chairman, Board of Trustee of
Association of Movie Producers (AMP) titled “Cover Up” before he goes
off the scene.
Here are some “ready to go” super-actresses for the film:Omotola
Jalade-Ekeinde, Franca Brown, Ngozi Nwosu, Liz Benson, Mercy Johnson
among others.
“The star actresses have willingly agreed to feature in the big-budget film without taking a dime as a way of saying “Thank You” to him for the part he played in their career. The film which will be shot in Lekki, Ajegunle, Abuja and Asaba respectively will commence in the first week of June and ends after nine weeks,” Ugbomah said.
“I am going to direct the film myself. It revolves around an influential Nigerian who committed a crime and happened to be the first person to raise alarm. At the end of the day, his attrocities were exposed but the powers that be would not allow him to face the full wrath of the law as he was left off the hook.”
Ultimately, the film is one of the key events designated to celebrate Ugbomah’s 50 years as an entertainer as well as his 73rd birthday anniversary. The D-day is also going to feature the official presentation of his autobiography as well as a musical concert tagged “Niger Delta stars and their friends.”
I am still expecting my ‘Governor friends’ to throw their weights behind the celebration. The governors of Delta State, Lagos State and Edo State. I want them to celebrate me while I am still alive. I want to be celebrated now that I’m still alive and not when I’m dead and gone,” said the movie legend to his press during the week.
