After getting the rehab boot for the second time in a few months, the singer was sentenced a few days ago to a month in the slammer.
With Brown alone for 23 hours a a day in solitary confinement, a source tells TMZ that the singer can't stand life behind bars.
In a related note, Rihanna thinks getting her face beaten and bloodied by Brown was the worst experience of her life.
What has Brown been doing while in custody?
Writing songs and working out in his cell, the source says, while telling folks on the phone that he’s been scared straight and will never “f-ck up again.” (LOL)
Mmmkay. We'll believe that when we see it.
But there may be hope yet for Brown: he's negotiating to pay off his alleged assault victim in D.C. in order to make that pending case go away.
As a result, the judge in the Rihanna case might let him out of the slammer, because he's currently locked up for violating probation for that 2009 assault.
His probation was revoked last year after his D.C. arrest, but he was allowed to go to rehab instead of jail ... until he got kicked out of rehab of course.
So in jail he stays, until his April 18 trial, or the charges being dropped.
Long story short, it pays off to be rich when you're a violent thug ... who is hopefully scared straight by this whole experience and finally turns things around.
A pipe dream? Possibly. But here's hoping.

Oh well, he wouldnt be in jail if he was in good conduct. He should learn from his mistakes and not making same mistake over and over again.
